Rock out with Princess Katie and Racer Steve
It can be tough planning a preschooler's birthday party. You want it to be perfect, fun, and above all cool. Yes, that nebulous word that ensures your footing as a parent. You buy an ice cream cake, balloons, streamers, party hats, and the cutest, sparkly wrapping paper you could find. You have the perfect presents, including that Netto Polar Bear Rocker, but still, something is missing. What will make this birthday, this party truly special?
Perhaps a clown making balloon animals? No, you think to yourself, a clown is not very cool. What's cool? A rock band is cool, but rock bands aren't typically birthday party material, well, at least not a preschooler's birthday party. Enter Princess Katie and Racer Steve.
Princess Katie and Racer Steve have been playing public concerts and private events for the youngest of us for almost a year now. After these concerts, the band members (Princess Katie, Racer Steve, Judo Champ Billy, and Crash the Drummer) sign autographs and let their littlest fans ask all their questions.
Princess Katie even keeps an online diary where her biggest fans, no matter age or height, can keep track of the band's shows and Katie's life in Royal Sneen Castle in the magical Happyville Kingdom. Online at Princess Katie and Racer Steve's website, you and your little ones can visit Katie's bedroom, or Steve's garage, where he practices guitar and works on his race car.
The band released a second album this year, entitled Fast and Feisty. With songs like "Sneakers!" and "We Dress Ourselves," Princess Katie and Racer Steve are full of rockin' tunes that will have you and your child singing and dancing along.

How cool that you wrote about them! I went to a party in the West Village where they were performing and it was incredible. My boys are still talking about it!
